After 35 years as a software engineer in the corporate world, Mike set out to become a dedicated steward in the local neighborhood, building more than a transactional laundromat: a clean, safe, modern, and welcoming community hub where every neighbor, no matter what brought them in the door, feels genuinely valued.

Washed Anew Laundry took over the longtime coin laundry at 5937 Old Central Ave on January 20, 2026, and spent the months that followed modernizing and rebranding the space for a fresh start, inside and out. New equipment, updated payment options, and a full refresh of the space turned a familiar neighborhood laundromat into a brighter, more comfortable place to do laundry, without losing the sense of a local spot neighbors have relied on for years.
